Welcome to Banban ("the app"). By using the app you agree to the following terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Service
Banban is an AI companion service providing text chat, real-time voice calls, character social feeds, and character diaries. All characters are AI-generated and not real people.
2. Age & Account
The app is for users 18 and older; if you are under 18, do not use it. Signing in with Apple ID or Google completes registration. You are responsible for protecting your sign-in credentials; any activity under your account is considered your own.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the service for any unlawful activity; (b) reverse-engineer, hack, or maliciously attack the service; (c) scrape, abuse the API, or otherwise disrupt other users; (d) use AI-generated content for fraud, harassment, defamation, or misinformation; (e) impersonate the app or mislead others into associating you with the Banban brand.
4. AI Character Disclaimer
Banban's AI characters are fictional personas generated by a language model. They have no real emotions and are not counselors, doctors, lawyers, or any other professionals. AI responses may be inaccurate or incorrect and are for entertainment and companionship only. In a mental-health crisis or emergency, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.
5. Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal
The app offers auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID on purchase and automatically renews 24 hours before the current period ends unless cancelled. To cancel: iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Banban. You retain access through the current period after cancelling. Prices and entitlements shown in-app are authoritative.
6. Refunds
All subscription payments are collected by Apple. Request refunds from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot process Apple transactions directly.
7. Intellectual Property
The app, character personas, brand, voices, images, UI, and all materials are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of the text and voice messages you submit but grant us a license to store, transmit, and process them as needed to operate the service (including persistent memory and relationship progression). We do not use your conversations to train AI models and do not sell data to third parties.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Our total liability for any direct or indirect damages arising from your use or inability to use the service is capped at the total subscription fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months.
9. Termination
You may terminate this agreement at any time by deleting your account. If you violate these terms, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access. After termination, any paid-but-unused subscription period remains accessible through its expiry.
10. Changes to Terms
We will announce material changes to these terms in-app or by email. Continued use of the app constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Mandatory local consumer protection laws where you reside continue to apply.
